24 November 2016
Datuk Peter Majuntin, Penampang, jam 3.30 petang kelmarin.
Malah, Fazlie sempat menitipkan pesanan terakhir buat
isterinya, Martina Sayah, 35, supaya menjaga anak mereka, Jeffery dengan penuh
kasih sayang.
Hospital Queen Elizabeth (HQE), semalam.
Katanya, arwah turut memintanya memasak nasi goreng sebelum
Malaysia,” katanya.
Menceritakan kejadian, Martina berkata, dia dimaklumkan
sehingga jam 6 petang, dia masih belum pulang. Saya bimbang kerana arwah tidak
pernah lewat.
“Anggota polis berkenaan meminta saya bertenang sebelum
memaklumkan suami meninggal dunia.
Superintendan Rosley Hobden berkata, rakan sekerja Fazlie, Maidah Banir, 46,
Lightning Strike Killed SMK Peter Mojuntin Gardener; Not
Exploding Powerbank
November 23, 2016
PENAMPANG – Police have dismissed a theory being spread on
social media that a man killed by a lightning strike was because the victim had
been charging his handphone with a power bank at the time of the incident.
Penampang police chief, Deputy Superintendent Rosley Hobden
in confirming the incident said Fazlie Lai Fauzie had been killed by a
lightning strike.
Fazlie, 36, a school gardener was killed and his colleague
seriously hurt after they were struck by lightning at the SMK Datuk Peter
Mojuntin field in Penampang near here on Tuesday.
Fazlie Lai lying prone on the field after he was struck by
lightning. He was dead by the time medics arrived.
He was believed to have been killed on the spot during the
3.30pm incident while fellow gardener Maidah Banir, 46, remained unconscious
after being rushed to the Queen Elizabeth hospital.
A school security guard Wilfred Kinin, 29, said he had heard
screams from the field amid a thunderstorm.

collapsed on the field,” he said.
He said teachers who had heard the screams and saw what had
happened immediately alerted the police and called the ambulance.
